Legislators introduce resolution to designate ‘National Pregnancy Center Week’ in November
This week on the Hill Congressman Bob Good, R-VA, introduced a resolution in the House designating the week of November 11 as “National Pregnancy Center Week,” with Senator Mike Lee, R-UT, bringing the companion resolution to the Senate.
H.Res. 1509 would “recognize the vital role that community-supported pregnancy centers play in saving lives and serving women and men faced with difficult pregnancy decisions,” according to the text of the bill.
“Pregnancy centers provide mothers a safe place to turn to as they look for help, hope, and healing during challenging times,” Good said in a press release concerning the measure:
These centers and the individuals who work and volunteer at them deserve to be supported and recognized for the vital role they play in helping mothers and their families. I’m proud to stand with leaders like Senator Mike Lee who are working to protect innocent life.
